HORSESHOE BAY RESORT WINS PAIR OF INTERNATIONAL AWARDS FOR EXCELLENCE IN SPECIAL EVENTS
Annual Hot Air Balloon Festival and Beer by the Bay Music Festival recognized as stars in the industry
(HORSESHOE BAY, Texas) – Horseshoe Bay Resort won a 2015 Gala Award for Best Fair/Festival at a ceremony held Jan 8. during The Special Event 2015 in Anaheim, Calif., and The Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) will recognize the resort with a Bronze Adrian Award for Public Relations at the HSMAI Adrian Awards Gala at the New York Marriott Marquis on Feb. 23.
At the recent black-tie Special Event 2015 gala, the resort’s Beer by the Bay Music Festival and Balloons over Horseshoe Bay Resort festival were both named finalists in the Best Fair/Festival category with Balloons over Horseshoe Bay Resort claiming the 2015 International Gala Award.
Eclectic Events International from Toronto, Ontario was named the other finalist in the category.
“We’re honored to be recognized by Special Events magazine for this prestigious award,” said Horseshoe Bay Resort Chief Marketing Officer Bryan Woodward. “These great events and their international recognition are a tribute to our resort leadership, associates and volunteers that make these annual productions possible.”
The Gala Awards have been given by Special Events, the premier industry publication, since 1986, when the awards honored the “top 10 events of 1985.” They recognize the finest work in special events worldwide.
For the 2015 Gala Awards, the magazine received entries in 35 categories from nine countries: Canada, China, Germany, India, Ireland, Russia, Spain, the United Kingdom and the United States of America.
Members of the Special Events magazine Advisory Board, made up of leaders in the event profession, reviewed all entries to determine the nominees and winners.
HSMAI will recognize Horseshoe Bay Resort with a Bronze Adrian Award for public relations excellence for its winning entry in the 58th annual Adrian Awards, the largest and most prestigious travel marketing competition globally.
This year’s contest garnered more than 1,200 entries from around the world, with entries judged by top executives throughout the industry.
Balloons over Horseshoe Bay Resort was recognized for excellence in International Hospitality Events in this annual Public Relations category.
